3D TV Not Ready For Prime Time, Yet...
Tuesday, January 11, 2011 at 01:55PM This years Consumer Electronics show was once again overrun with vendors displaying 3d technology for home theater systems. Most experts agree though that the technology is still far from perfection and needs at least 3-4 more years of development. Most displays still rely on the use of expensive active matrix glasses that are uncomfortable to wear and expansive. Very few companies have made any real progress on glasses free techniques. Experts expect 3d to become an added feature included in TVs and not a major selling point for the forseeable future.
